I am looking at a second hand watch. The main thing putting me off is it was first bought in Hong Kong, and the watch in being sold as brand new in box. Will the guarantee be valid (if its within time frame) over here?
If I ever did sell it, would PX price at a watch shop mind? I suppose they wouldnt bid me less than if I said I didnt have papers?

Thanks

Dom

I bought my Omega whilst living there for a while.

The crown fell off when back in the UK and they fixed it no worries.

Might depend on the brand, but Omega were fine. And the watch was a lot cheaper - I would be using this latter point to bargain the watch downwink

My Missus's Rolex was origionally bought in Japan, has had warrenty work done on it in the USA and Singapore with never an issue.

Edit to add - just looked at the paperwork, i have here, Rolex, Omega and Panerai all have full international warrenties, the Rolex and the Panerai were both bought 2nd hand in Asia.

As long as it was originaly purchased from an AD and has the correct paperwork - I can't see any issue.
