Does the omega model ST145022 run the 861 movement?

Could anyone tell me if the st 145022 model attracts a better value than the 3570.50 model.

145.022 is the first of the .861 cals. I assume you are just talking abou the standard 'moon watch' rather than one of the specials (ASTP etc)?

3570.50 is the current model speedmaster. Personally I'd pay more for a vintage, but obviously you lose the warranty and gain extra repair costs should it go wrong. Vintage also will not be waterproof in the slightest - where the modern watches have a degree of water resistance (50m though, so only really showerproof).

Vintage with box and papers would be worth more than a used modern with box and papers. But vintage watches are less likely to be sold complete and therefore comparing 'apples with apples' is harder.

I have modern and vintage watches in my collection and all get a good amount of wear - especially the vintage Speedys. I just dont get them wetwink
