I like both of these in black. I sort of wish the core has a negative face but I'd live with the white colour.

I would like an activity watch with ABC features. They both have these but the Core has temperature too which is useful if not necessary.

The Tissot looks more of a dress watch. The Suunto has the reputation for reliability.

Any opinions?.. apart from "buy both" (I am considering it).

I've worn a t-touch for work 5 years, i'm a gas engineer so the watch does get knocked about and its never missed a beat.

That's reassuring. Thanks. I've read a couple of reports on this site which suggest the Tissot might be slightly less than 100% reliable, and everyone knows the Suuntos are robust. However I've wanted a Tissot for ages and have only just "found" the Suuntos, and the Tissot looks a bit more classy.

Mmm... birthday coming up and need to make a choice.

I've also had a t-touch titanium for 4.1/2 years now and I've hardly had it off my wrist until recently when I've made a conscious effort to cycle the other 8 watches I have because I felt sorry for them.

i love the Tissot and wouldn't be without it at any price and I too have read the issues about them but mine has been 100% reliable.
Oddly enough a colleague has a Suunto which i was looking at today. Not the same one as your link shows but similar and in black.
His is quite a bit bigger than the Tissot but seems to have much the same functions. I think my Tissot Ti is much more dressy but perhaps thats because his Suunto has a black bezel.

One thing - he says he has a load of rubber seals for his Suunto and changes the seal when he changes the battery, so its cheap to run.

I still wouldn't swap him though biggrin
