I am a little confused about the whole watch dimension game. The daily wearer is nothing flash but i have measured the watch to be 45mm from the widest point, including the crown. My question, is this a 45mm watch? So would an Omega Planet Ocean (Large size) be of similar dimensions, albeit .5mm wider?

Thanks

I've just measured my PO, and as far as I can tell it's 45.5 mm from the end of the crown to the other side of the bezel. The bezel actually measures 43mm. The measurement that makes it feel big is the depth of 15mm from base to the bezel. The face actually sticks out a few mm on top of that.

Most watch dimensions do not include the crown so they refer purely to the case size. Even if it doesn't state 'not including' crown, I'd always assume it doesn't. The Omega site, for example, states case diameter specifically, with no mention of the crown.
