Saw one of these whilst waiting for a flight out of Heathrow (model 500501)
What a beautiful watch !!
Was told the duty free price was "only" £5900 and thus a great saving
If the missus had not been with me......

Make me jealous - who here has one?

Not got the big Ing, but I do have a standard sized one and it's great. I have also got a couple of IWC's with the seven day movement - it's a great movement and a real bonus that you don't have to wind it up if you don't wear it for a day or two.

Considering getting one.

Any one have any ideas as to the price in these "turbulent times"?

Popped in to WoS and they did not seem too keen on offering a discount.

TIA

just reading the desription which says they have removed the soft iron core on the Big Ingenieur - doesn't that sort of make it a "none ingenieur". Thats like rolex making a Seadweller that is only water resistent to 50m.

I thought the whole point of the Ingenieur range was its superlative anti magnetic properties.

p.s. nice watch

My buddy has just got one, lovely watch! Not sure what he paid but I will find out for you... I was under the impression that that end of the luxury market wasn't suffering that badly and that values were holding quite well... But you never know!

Isn't the soft iron core more of a concern for pilots and magnetic 'interference' i.e. a pilots watch wouldn't 'work' without the soft iron core, but the Ing was more for it's cushioned movement and tough case, making it strong for a knock-about watch, no?
