And

Opinions on the Breitling 50th Anniversary Navitimer

Local jeweller has one in the window (on a matt bracelet) and offered £1250 for my snoopy speedy plus £2k cash. I love Navitimers but are they really a £3.2k watch? Are they 'that' special?

Look at a Rolex Submariner or Seadweller, roughly the same price and only tell time and date!

I quite like the Brietling titanium Chrono Avenger. Most people will think its a fake as its so light, gives you a nice smirk at their lack of knowledge.

undoubtedly a nice watch, but much too fussy for my taste.

I was told yesterday that IWC prices are due to increase on 1st June, a likely increase of approximately 5% over current pricing.

Does the Navi use an in house movement? Thought it was an ETA.

I think the lack of complication doesn't really matter - look at a simple Lange Saxonia which is very much worth its $12k.

Not a fan of A. Lange and Sohne personally. That's what is so great about a nice watch, its very personal.

I don't know anybody with a nice watch that bought it for what other people would think. I know what I like and what I wear, as I'm sure you do. I'd be lost without my Rolex but really like the look of the Tag Link Calibre too.

The Montbrillant Datora I was looking at buying has just gone up from £3.6k to £4,115. I really like this model, but I'm finding it hard to justify paying over £4k for a steel watch.
