I am interested in buying a Breitling starliner watch and the cheapest I can find is from www.swisswatchesdirect.co.uk.

I am very hesitant about buying such an expensive item on the internet, but it is over £1k cheaper than in the shops. Has anyone had any dealings with this company or any advice for me? How could I verify that the watch was genuine?

you will not get the manufactures warranty with them, just there own. i was im the same predicament as you a few years ago...ended up using watchfinder.co.uk very helpful and the watch came with a 2 yr manufactures warranty and at a very competitive price....

Thank you but I am taking the risk-free way out and buying from Selfridges!

Be careful with online companies. I was looking for one and found a UK based site. However rang the UK distributors for the brand and they said they had never supplied to the site. So either they were fakes or grey imports.
