Hi All

I am looking for a new watch, it's to replace an Animal watch that I have used when doing more adventerous activity.

I have an Oris Williams F1 day/date for my everyday watch which is great, but looking for something a bit more casual and hardy when mountain biking, and around water etc. So this is what I need:-

Fabric/rubber strap
analogue time rather than digital
Not a massive face (my wrists are relatively skinny)
At least 100m water resistance - I presume thats ok to swim with ??
Budget £100
Smart enough to wear out in evenings as it may be the only watch on holiday.

I've seen this citizen, which I quite like, but would welcome other suggestions, even if second hand and fall within budget.

You could get yourself a TAG for that amount. But Citizens are fine watches. Have a look around for a G-Shock maybe?

This is slightly over budget (don't know if that is a huge problem) but from the list of requirements, this is just the job.

It is an O&W M65 Military, which is highly regarded - and can be found here

There are a lot of very nice pieces on RTL Watches, could spend a fortune there.

Regards

Chris

Hi, Try Werners fly watches. It has some diving watches which are in your price bracket. http://www.wernersflyingwatches.com/

I have used them as have others on this site and the quality and service are great. See other thread

seiko Monster perhaps???

this is my "night" monster, but the regular one is exactly the same, just in stainless steel not blackened steel and can be had with either black or orange face and steel or rubber band.
They can be had for about £100 and are 200m waterproof and almost indestructable, plus not too large at 42mm and dressy enough (i think) to be worn out on holiday.
Nice watch.
Thanks,
Andrew

The Orange Monster is a bit of a legend really - a cheap watch that's somehow made it into the watch-geek world (there was even a piece on it in QP magazine once IIRC). No idea about the price of the Night Monster - assume it's not much more than a regular Orange Monster, which cost me around £96 with all taxes included (they don't sell them in the UK so it was an import eBay job, along with some tools to adjust the strap etc.)
I reckon it looks OK even on my skinny wrists, it's a great watch and keeps remarkably good time. Proper automatic mechanical movement, of course.

And if the "Orange monster" is a bit much for you remember you can also get the "Black Monster" for the same money...

Thanks for the responses. I do like that Seiko but I don't think it's what I'm really looking for at the moment. Reminds me of a Seiko I saw in China last year, it has a black braclet and bezel, with a yellow and black face, it was great but haven't seen it since.

That O&W military watch is very appealing, think I will investigate that further.
