Hi - been reading on here that discounts can be had for a bit of negotiation. Any tips on best price and dealer for a PO in Glasgow / Edinburgh. Mappin & Webb, Buchanan St dropped by £200 today to £1620 but have read 20% can be achieved. Thanks

Whatever you do get a move on as there is a rumoured 10% price increase on May 1.....

I paid £1500. At the time I thought I'd got a bargain, but with hindsight could probably have got it a bit cheaper biggrin

We were at Gleneagles for the weekend. Managed (Mappin & Webb) to get black bezel, orange arabics for £1600 + my gmt master and longines evidenza polished with their watchmaker. The girl advsied me that prices woudl be going up "soon". All in all not bad as I don't know how much value there is with a good watchmaker's clean on my other watches

Got the battery replaced in my seamaster in Laing's in Edinburgh a couple of years back for a mere £30 which included a clean and resealing. Worth checking them out to see if their sales are as reasonable.

No evidence of that so far in London shops.
