Has anyone heard of AS Watches?

AS stands for Adolf Schild whose company made / makes the movements for other branded watch companies.

Does anyone know much about watches manufactured and branded by AS? Are they rare, desirable etc or just another old brand that is almost forgotten?

A man with the name Urs Schild, a schoolmaster, and Dr.Girard set up an ébauches factory in Grenchen, in the canton of Solothurn and the origin of ETA. There was, some 40 years later, in the same town, an Adolf Schild. He too, was connected to the foundation of ETA.

I would suggest Googling the history of ETA.
