IWC Portuguese Automatic Chronograph
Discussion
I have seen one near me that is a 2004 IWC Auto / Quartz Chronograph on a leather strap.
$2100 of your Australian Dollars, (1000 quid) i think this may be the bargain of the century (ok, year at least)
i cant find anything at even close to the price, far less cheaper anywhere else, that i have looked so far.
Am i crazy not to snap this up?!

If it's the 'Mecha-Quartz' Portofino or Flieger, these aren't the most sought after. Most people who buy an IWC will want a mechanical piece. £1000 sounds about right.$2100 of your Australian Dollars, (1000 quid) i think this may be the bargain of the century (ok, year at least)

Got a Portuguese Automatic in Miami last year from an IWC dealer. I got it for roughly half UK RRP. A combination of good exchange rate, a discount and knocking off the florida sales tax made it too good an offer to refuse.
You are supposed to pay VAT on entry but I suspect most people would take the risk and chance it!

It is the Flieger and it is a lovely watch, but i have to admit that i was put off slightly by the Quartz issue.
Looks like its back to lusting after Sinn's for a while more!
