Breitling Blackbird - Time loss
Discussion
I reckon my Blackbird is losing about 1 minute over a 3 week period. Does taking it off overnight affect time keeping?.
Also, the ticking is quite loud, is this normal?.
Its still under warranty, but dont really want to lose it for another 8 weeks. Had to send it back previously as the date dials became misaligned on an intermittant basis.
I do love the watch but if I have to send it back again I wont be happy. I had a seamaster previously and it never missed a beat in 5 years of daily wear.

One minute is acceptable - the COSC standard is + or - 6 seconds a day, so over a minute every two weeks. You are though unlucky if yours isn't much better than the maximum loss or gain per day. I have three watches, two Breitling and one IWC, and the only one that keeps really good time is the oldest, the Navitimer. Even the new Spitfire is about one minute a month so only about 2 secs per day.
