making my own watch
Discussion
Ive been making jewelery for a hobby for a few years and ive always wanted to make my own watch. Mostly making silver stuff when I have the time and energy.
I dont think I can make a movement, but I think I can manage a case, strap, face and clasp..
Do you guys know where I could buy a movement and glass.
I found a few supplyers but they seemed to be cheap and if im going to go to the trouble of making the rest myself I want something of reasonable quality.
I did find some rolex movements on ebay, but I dont know what im looking at.
Most seem to be spares or repair.
I have repaired clocks before, but never a watch (might be fun to try)
Can you guys offer any advice?

These are from Otto Frei, I think:

Some Eta movements that should certainly be of Oris quality at least. Bear in mind that they wont be lubricated, so you'll have to factor in the cost of getting it serviced, unless you want to try your hand at that, too.
These guys also have movements:

but might be worth giving them a call, as their used parts section hasnt been updated in a while. Again, lots of ETA stuff in there, and samw will apply re: lubrication if they're new. Shows how much you pay for a fancy case with good branding!
