Which of these 2 ? Tag/Omega content......

Was shopping around today.Always fancied a Speedy or Seamaster, but this Tag caught my eye, and looks really good on my wrist.

Thing is, it just doesnt *feel* as good to hold as the Omega.

Im a biggish bloke and need a big watch on my wrist, and Im really taken with the Tag....but it just doesnt quite feel the event to put on that the Omegas
do.

Whats the collective experience chaps ?

The Speedy Pro & Seamaster are classics That Tag IMO is a bit fussy, and trying too hard. Not my cup of tea.

At the end of the day, it'll be on your wrist, so try them all on and go with your heart It might just be me, but you don't sound convinced by the Tag

I have a Seamaster PO.

At the time I was buying I looked at a Tag Carrera as well - but it was nothing like as 'weighty' a watch.

Tag are my favourite watch brand but in this kind of comparison I would have to go with the Omega too. It just seems far more purposeful - I have a friend with an orange and blue Planet Ocean on the rubber strap and it's beautiful.

Conversely I think Tag do upscale motorsport watches like the Carrera better than anybody.

Had the choice of a tag or a seamaster for my 21st nearly 8 years ago. Seamaster has been worn every day since and never regretted it.
IMO that Tag chrono will date quite quickly and a few years down the line you'll be after something else.

If I had to wear one watch every day, I'd go for a classic non-chrono design over a chrono.

I have both the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean and a Tag Carerra chronograph; I love them both but if I had to choose just one I'd go for the Omega, the build quality is much better imho!!
