Squeaky strap

Then metal link strap on my daily wearer (Swatch IRONY) has started to squeak and is driving me mad.

What's the best way to lubricate a watch strap??

Skoosh of wd40, or if you reckon your skin won't like that a blob of fairy liquid or summat.

Thanks for the response. I'm trying to stay away from using oil's etc. as i suffer a bit of dermatitis.

I'll give the vaseline a go, didn't think of using anything along those lines.
