I always loved watches, however could not really find the money to spend on the ones I wanted! However now I can.

I went in to get an omega seamaster but came out with my Carl F Bucherer.I just loved the look of it. I also have a Hamilton and a few other watches. Nothing too special.

I am looking to buy another one in the next week or so.I am thinking of a Cartier Pasha with the black strap and face or a tag that I seen. I tried them on a few months ago but could not really justify the money at the time.

I picked up a nice small watch winder which does the job nice too.

Hope you like

Wow. That's a watch I have never seen (and I rather like, despite the protestations).

One question. Why go for a 'fashion name watch' rather than something with the same workings, but costing a lot less?

To be honest I don't care what brand it is as long as I like it. Same with cars and clothes.

The cariter, which is what I am guessing you mean?,,,well I love the design. I will be back in St Maarten in just over a week so its aways a good place to see watches.Loads of shops and hundreds of watches. I will have a look around and see if anything else takes my fancy but its high on my 'want' list.

Cheers

Anyone with any real interest in watches would know that, Cartier, along with Rolex, gave us the modern wrist worn watch.

I love the watch forum.

La di fecking dah, pomposity and questioning the hierarchy of brands is the norm.

The worlds best watchmakers are Seiko and Rotary. Do you want Jap or Swiss? Get over it

As I type this, I note I'm wearing a Rolex Sub, but it doesn't matter

I had a closer look at that Hamilton model not so longago and can honestly say that that one has gone on my short list. A really nice piece.

I recently picked up a Hamilton Viewmatic - same as the watch in the picture minus the chrono and the date at the 3 o'clock position and a crystal back.

Didn't go looking for it, just caught my eye and have to say I am very impressed with it.

I love the Hamilton. The strap is a bit worn now but I am looking in to getting a new strap for it.
