Design? Name? Complications? And what is on your wish list?

Personally, I'm now hankering after a simple watch, not a chrono, and with the nicest complication of them all (in my eyes) - the power reserve. I think I've now just about had my fill of 'exotic' looking watches (my new Time tank is currently on my wrist), and I now think I'm ready for something more traditional.

These currently head my list:

and this beauty:

What about yourselves?

I do like power reserve, I have this:

But my favourite power reserve implementation is probably this:

Nomos Tangente Power Reserve

Also rather like this:

Dornblueth & Sohn 99.2 (a bit pricier than the Nomos)

As for what I'm looking for, I fancy a diver, as I don't have one in my small collection, considering an IWC Aquatimer or an Anonimo Militare.

Something rugged, titanium, less than £1000, good looking and swiss.

Hmm...

Something tasty in steel with the either 'Submariner' or 'Sea Dweller' on the dial. Either that or something that looks an awful lot like an AP Royal Oak Offshore chrono (25721.ST).

However, my chances are slim...

How about delivery? My DC56 and DC66 should arrive someday, hopefully before I'm too old to enjoy them

Saving my pennies for one of these -

but in the meantime, been having a look at Hamilton and/or Christopher Ward for my next one, there are some seriously nice watches on their websites. Really like the look of this one -

I really dont get that watch, if it suits you then fine...but that (to me) has to be the most non descript watch I've ever seen. If I saw somebody wearing that I doubt if I would even ask what it was rolleyes

To some Jules, that is the point. The IWC is so understated but clear and simple. I bought the chrono version six months back and now regret it - I'd have preferred the plain Spitifire XVI but with metal bracelet - I can't wear leather straps sadly. So, for me as I get older, my next watch will just be a simple one, luminous, one that I can read both night and day without having to put my glasses on. Now if Sinn did a larger bersion of the 356, I'd buy it like a shot.

that's exactly what i love about it. i do really like the simplistic look of it. excellent quality without any *bling* factor at all.

for me, that's perfect.

What's on the back of the case? I remember some have dodgy engraving.

Yes, unfortunatley it is the Top Gun edition, which the back of the case is engraved and whilst not to everyone's taste I like the look of the watch itself
