HI,

Does anyone reccomend a good insurance company for watches? I can't put it on home insurance and I travel a lot with my watches because of my job. I am wanting to add another watch to my small collection but that will bring the value up to around 6k! hence me thinking about insurance.

Cheers guys!

Mine's covered under my home insurance with Zurich. I think it cost an extra £20 or so for cover of £2500.

Royal and Sun Alliance; happy to cover individual watches up to £2.5k each on personal belongings (all risks and without valuation) Insure watches over that value on individual quotation and with valuation.

IIRC they've charged me an additional £40/yr for £6.3k IWC...far better than I was quoted with specialist insurers.

All sorted via broker and not direct with insurer, they seem to be able to achieve better premiums.

Mine too, and they just paid me out nearly £3,000 for a lost watch without any fuss.
Just make sure that it is a specifically named item with an agreed value.
