Looking to purchase this.

Does anyone have any experience of the product or can suggest something similar?

Cheers smile

Bloomin' heck! You must have a hell of a lot of automatic watches to need that rotate

I would be interested in a quad winder because at the rate I'm going I might as well go for it. But 12 ? What do you have?

Well I don't have 12 yet but I do have 8 with a couple on order.

I picked up a new Breguet Type XXI fly-back chronograph and a Vacheron Constantin Malte Tonneau chronograph today and realised that I'd like somwhere to keep them.

The Rapport winders look nice in the brochure but I wondered if anyone had actually bought one?

Well I applaud your taste, those are connoisseurs watches you have got there.

I am actually after advice on such winders myself but as my watches tend to be 50's or older I will probably only need a quad winder.

So ditto your question to anyone out there but on a more modest number of winders.

I've had one of these for a while:

Nice bit of kit. Not sure they take heavier watches too well though - mine's a little noisy now (not a major problem as it's in a cupboard) and it struggles to turn an Omega Seamaster Pro Chrono...

I have a Rapport Captains Duo, which does exactly what is says on the tin.

I did have an issue soon after delivery, in that the key broke off in the lock trapping a pair of Omega's inside yikes, which they handled Ok by immediately shipping a replacement and asking that I break into the first box causing as little damage as possible, which I duly did with half a junior hacksaw blade through the catch of the lock. They also refunded the return postage without complaint too.

Good quality product, well made and looks good, that works, and certainly keeps my Omega's various wound.

Some watches, apparently, do not respond to winders though.

Mmm, that's a bit worrying. How old is the winder?

4 or 5 years old I think.

I've not contacted the vendor about it (not that big an issue at present) nor tried to take it apart. I suspect it uses plastic gears.

It's a beautiful looking box though.

I have had a single Rapport winder box for 4 yrs +. The original stopped working after a year or so; it used a simple belt drive arrangement. I sent it back and they repaired it and returned it to me (as i recall) quickly. They added the latest mechanism which was quieter and it has been fine ever since. It is used mainly over the weekend and sometimes for longer periods - it does the job. Their customer service was excellent - even though it was over a year old the repair was FOC.

Chris.

Thanks for the feedback. Sounds like the sort of customer service that's all too rare these days.

Cheers

Worth noting that mine's on all the time with three watches in it...so it does get some use.

Mine is a quad, but it doesn't handle big, heavy watches very well at all. I am also looking to upgrade soon as well though, so I'm watching this closely!

I have a Rapport Watch Winder, and it is excellent, no problems, had it since Christmas.

My Dad has got one which he had, had for a year or two, and the unit just stopped working.

Sent the unit back and Rapport replaced with a new one, with no quibbles.
