I have recently been given a IWC Ingenieur which is in dire ned of some TLC.

Does anybody on here have any recommendations of a place to do this. The obvious option is IWC themselves, but dows anybody on here have any experience or suggestions with some good horologists etc.

Google for Chris Heal - note this is not a recommendation, I have no direct experience. I have heard bothe very very good things, and the not so good.
There was a thread here a while back. He trades as Chealwatch.

You could also try Roy Taylor over at RLT watches - refurb not his bread and butter, but he has done some , and the results IME have always been good.

Get yourself on somewhere like Timezone, may be a better place for this kind of question.

Thanks for the recommendation of Chris Heal. Because of it being an old IWV, he actually recommended IWC themselves, so I took it over there on Thursday.

They were actually quite excited about the particular model, because they had never actually seen the particular model. Apparently IWC will be coming out with a more modern version of the exact watch soon.

They will contact me next week to deliver their assessment, so I hope to be sitting down.

Will keep you posted.
