Does anyone here actually work in the Jewellery business?

Specifically I'm after an eternity ring, looking to spend up to a grand or so. White gold, diamonds.

Anyone know anyone who can help? I'd rather not go to H. Samuels or any other place like that...

Ta!

I do not work in the business but can recommend a small manufacturing jeweler in Manchester called Slack and Andrews. I don't think they are near you but if you travel it may be of use.

They made me an engagement ring and are currently doing our wedding rings. They can do off the shelf or completely bespoke, or anything in between. I haven't got their number to hand but if your interested I can post it later. You have to make an appointment for a consultation, they've no shop as such.

I used a small jeweller in Nottingham called Carolyn Codd for my wifes eternity ring. We purchased our wedding rings from there and Carolyn designed the eternity ring to match and complement the wedding ring.

She works in all the precious metals and makes them on the premises, her husband Danny is the craftsman and the pieces are superb.

I'd avoid white gold, and opt for platinum or yellow gold.
I see your in Hants, so I'd recommend the jeweler i use, called Macrow and son who have branches in Swanage and Weymouth here's there website: http://www.macrow.com/ I've spent more money than i care to work out in there.
