Dont wear it that much, had it since December 04, yesterday i was wearing it and noticed that the start button had gone, Called the shop where i purchased it and was told that "even though it just screws on it would have to go to Tag to be fitted" but i would only be charged for the button, I asked if i could buy the button and was told no. They want £40 for a 10pence button that should never have fallen off in the first place.

Anyone know another way of buying the button?

F**k me! How can it be so expensive?! A new sapphire crystal for my Submariner was only about £60!

Well my (manual) Carrera went back to duvalls in october.... came back in feb, promptly discovered it wasnt working properly in addition to them managing to lose the keeper from the strap (how I don't know??!) as well as some other problems that quite frankly you really shouldnt be getting with any service- let alone one from a main agent , so it has gone back AGAIN.
This is for a simple service- nothing major or out of the ordinary.

Dont hold your breath for it back anytime this year... useless.

Yep, it was heartbreaking (for my insurance company anyway).

The real kicker was that it took TEN WEEKS to repair and has been back 3 more times since then because they forgot to replace the chipped bezel and then sent it with a sticking date wheel. Twice. It's still not back frown

I *really* love the thing but I'd have to think twice about buying another one based upon this obnoxious pricing and piss poor service.

LOL sounds familiar....
Must be in the queue next to mine... either that or both being done by the same idiot.

If you tell me its a black dial with three white chrono ring carrera, then thats spooky...

Terrible service.

Yes, it's a black faced chrono with the silver Daytona dials frown

I would complain in writing but can't find an email address anywhere on the web for the Manchester repair place or TAG customer service. I aim to call them direct and explain why my next purchase is not going to be the Monaco as planned. It's a real shame because I am fanatical about the product.

This is the address from the back of my Carrera instruction manual -

LVMH Watch and Jewellery (UK),
16/18 Harcourt Street,
Worsley,
Manchester,
M28 5GN
T - 01204 861168

I would send them a letter rather than an email and sent it tracked recorded delivery, and then you have the knowledge that someone will have to sign for it and customer service cannot simply fob you off with they never recieved it.
