I have a Heuer Carrera Re-edition that I'd like to sell & was thing about SOR.

watches.co.uk in Chiswick wanted to retain too much (circa 30%)

watchfinder said they would retain 10% - any experience of these guys, or does anyone have any further suggestions?

Thanks in anticipation.

Why don't you have a look on eBay,and sell it your self? There's a very well subscribed watch section. Look in the Heuer section, to see what Carreras are selling for...
Other than that the 10% offer from Watchfinder is very good.

Shouldn't have posted a for sale ad as your first post on tz-uk, it doesnb't generally go down too well!

Was just following erics advice & have sorted that now. A polite post to explain the breach of protocol would have suffice, rather than launching an attack.

Since you felt the need to post both there & here can I say thanks for how welcoming you were though - CYA - very nice, I must say.

Hope people were more accommodating to you as a newb.

My apologies, I hadn't realised it was you posting the Tag from here.

If you look at some of the treatment other people have received as a result of posting for sale ads as first posts, what you received was pretty mild.

ps The CYA was more to do with having found a new smiley than anything else ... was obviously a very slow day at work yesterday

Accepted, thanks thumbup

Can I ask - which would you say is the best forum for watch advice? - Here, or on Time Factors, or does it depend on the question?

tz-uk is the hands down winner, there are some serious watch freaks over there. Though you'd expect that as it's a dedicated forum, it's run/owned by Eddie who runs Timefactors and you'll see his watches mentioned reasonably frequently on there.

Some of the collections are quite mind mind boggling, a memeber "9:59" (username of Porka ilk) posted a pic of some of his watches - I think he needs more storage space for his watches, than I need for clothing
