A sudden lucky cash injection means that the world is my (Rolex) Oyster.

But I want to invest wisely. I'd love a steel daytona. But I hate losing any money indeed would like to gain over the years.

It seems that for whatever reason a Zenith movement commands a premium over Rolex movements at the moment but I'm not sure I understand why.....can someone explain the appeal?

Whatever, if it is a good long term investment then is a superb condition late 2000s last of the line Zenith with solid links and all boxes and papers a good 'un? And what should I pay?

Any advice well appreciated.

If a Zenith Daytona is 'worth' more than a Rolex movement one, I expect it's to do with rarity and the fact that it's considered by many to be a better movement.

I think it's a better looking watch also.

I guess it depends just how big the 'cash injection' was, I think the current market value of a Zeith Daytona is about £8k where as the Rolex movement is between £5-6k
I guess the value of the Zenith may go up more than the Rolex as they are only going to get rarer, but I wouldn't think they are going to go into Newman values. rotate

Thanks guys.

I have found what I am looking for, it's £8.5k black face which I prefer, original box, papers, receipt et al.
