I've come across pics of a Chopard Mille Miglia Speed black 2 Chronograph which I like the look of but know nothing about the brand.

Are they any good when compared to Rolex, Omega & Tag?

I've got a Mille Miglia which I think is lovely.

I suspect as a brand they're easily on a par with Breitling, probably a small step up from Omega and Tag, but probably not quite on a par with Rolex.

I also have a Mille Miglia which I just love, however if I am playing sport, going mountain biking, swimming, etc then I always wear the Rolex!

I'm not saying this is justified but the Chopard just does not feel (or look) quite as solid - but then only one is sold as a diver's watch.

I have always been a bit negative about the watches of jewelry houses (as opposed to watchmakers) but Chopard do have some really nice looking pieces. I personally find the ones I like tend to be on the small side for my tastes but they do appear to be well made.

I also think that their motoring credentials are pretty good and should count for something on pistonheads!!!

If you like the Chopard Speed Black then you obviously like the chronos..

My fave is the "Mille Miglia GMT chrono".
White dial, black sub dials. There's also a black dial version available too. Fitted with either the rubber tyre strap or full stainless ;o) looks great - elegant and sporty.

Chopard are an underrated brand, like Oris.
Both of them quality Swiss watchmakers.

I wouldn't go as far as to say they're not as good as Rolex...because to me, Rolex are overpriced and overrated. Its just that everyone has heard of Rolex.
