I would like views on this watch. In an earlier thread I asked for (and received) some excellent help. I am able to get a substantial discount at a certain high street jewellers who happen to stock Breitlings. I happened across this model yesterday but initally thought the metal bracelet was 'orrid. However as soon as it went on the wrist I thought it was great! It seem so tick all boxes but there is a 6 month waiting list and at under £2k I thought it might be a bit cheap to buy as a lifetime watch. I suppose I could buya second watcvh for dressy times?! Shpiu;d I spend 4k on a watch and get it for (a lot) less than 3K or go with this one?

Your thoughts?

Well, I had my superocean over 10 years before the bloody house got burgled and it was fine as a long term tough everyday watch. It kept good time, never had a service, and just soldiered on. Why spend more if it is what you want? Oh, I bought another as soon as the insurance money came through!

Don't take the 30% discount then if the higher cost makes it feel more special! Seriously though, lifetime watches don't have to be extremely expensive. It's all about how you feel about wearing them. But if the cost is the most important factor for you, then you'll have to buy a more expensive one to be happy. But if this is your favourite watch, regardless of cost, then you should consider the "relatively" low price as a positive point.
