I am now rid of all my Breitlings, I still have the Pam 0025 Submersible, the SS white face Rolex Daytona was an engagement present from my wife so it stays put and I just sold my Limited Edition Royal Oak and bought a new blue face ROO in steel and boy it is a huge piece.

I'm really wanting one at the moment, think they are the watch to have, better than any panarai. Just keep it our secret!

But you realise the price of admission is rather steep so it won't be as popular.

Was looking at selling my breitlings (i have 4) to buy one royal oak.
But could not bring myself to part with them.
I might just save up this year and buy myself one for chrimbo.
The off shore themes LE looks nice.

The AP ROO T3 is my dream watch, the Swiss Watch Co in Chiswick had one last year, was so tempted to buy, but at 18k I could get an IWC Big Pilots, Hublot Big Bang, and have change to spare! I will finally take the plunge one day though.

I'm a fan, but it's one of those that you want to have, but only as an add on to the collection once you've got the watches you really want, if you know what I mean.
Often on the list but not at the top.
A bit like the Freak.

An extortionate price for a watch with a 7750 inside.

i am a great fan of AP....i have a couple of the alinghi including the carbon fibre one from last year...they are very distinctive and yet simple....i finally got the T3 about a month ago from AP in new york as they still have some unsold ones...but they are not cheap....however once on the wrist all that pain goes away!!

The T3 is magnigicent, but too outrageous for me.

I bought a Royal Oak just over a month ago whilst in Boston. Will go for the Offshore one day but it's a bit steep for now, also want a few others first.

I have an AP ROO Titanium with dark blue face and winder, etc.
Nice watch with just the right weight but was surprised by how easily it scratches - diving into my computer holdall it picked up a scratch off the plastic zipper.
Priced between GBP 9,400 & GBP 10,600, depending where you buy, i.e., country, airport, shopping mall.

Couldn't agree more. Derivative styling, too.

I quite like some of the Offshores, but there's certainly more than a whiff of Eurotrash about them (if the people I see wearing them are anything to go by).

I've seen the RO referred to as 'The rich man's Rolex' several times.

Chaps, as a big bang owner I must respond....

The bb was the pinnacle of my small collection, regrettably a year or so ago all my other watches were stolen, leaving me with only the bb. I wear it every day and whilst not the most discreet of timepieces it never fails to make me feel good when I look at it.

I constantly am on the look out for watches to replace those that were stolen but am always mindful that the bb does everything I need...it looks good (taste I know), is very distinctive, keeps great time and is still as rare as hens teeth.

AP's are lovely, but when you have a BB you don't want one.......

I just can't see the appeal - Royal Oak rip-off styling, most with a slightly modified generic £250 movement and zero innovation or heritage, all at a huge price.

I've got the RG Big Bang and love the watch - wear it all the time and far prefer it to any of my AP watches

I also thought about getting a T3 watch - but I borrowed one for a day and it's just too big
