Had a rare tip into the city today, All the watch shops around my way have a few good brands with very limited stocks, Selfridges WOW ! I could have stayed in there for hours, Im sure many from here have been in there but if not try to get there,
Also some of the discounts in the sales were amazing, 15 watches down to 9 K, they had a 24 K watch at half price.
Also a few more slightly more reasonably priced like 4K down to 2800.
A lovely Omega with a black and gold dial took my fancy
Also a quick nip down the street to watches of Switzerland but their stocks were nowhere near as good.
Any other shops in the city to rival Selfrides range, ? Was in Harrods last summer and their range was fairly good also.

Plus the staff at the that Watches of Switzerland store have their heads stuck up their own ASS!!! I was about to spend £2k in there and bloke just looked down his nose at me like "you can afford that...." so I took my cash elsewhere!!!!
Funnily enough, every time I poke my nose in the window of the local branch, I even get black looks from behind the window. Fair enough, they don't know how much or how little I might spend. However, just like the equally retarded & pretentious VW, you aren't getting my decent business any time soon or without some reverse attitude/appreciation.
Good on you, it's the only way they will ever learn.
Selfridges has a great selection but I think Harrods has about the best all round selection of any single watch shop in the country. They have all the greats with a few rarer brands like Richard Mille. Also easy to browse unlike most jewelry/watch shops where the stock is in the window.
Only problem with Harrods is the prices. Always MRRP.
Next best thing is a stroll down New Bond St where all the dealers are within spitting distance

Selfridges is pretty good - but Harrods is the best for the more prestige models of certain brands. I never thought i'd see a £15,000 Raymond Weil but did so in Harrods, not to mention some of the more "bling" watches easily going for the price of 2 Aston Martins in Harrods.
Although saying that, I did notice Selfridges had some good deals and had a Corum I was interested in reduced from £12,000 to £9,000 which I thought was pretty impressive.

Ditto... i was about to part with my hard earned (well not that hard tbh lol) when two members of staff in the store simutainiously ingnored me, first i approached told me very bluntly she was on her lunch break, couse i should have known that, and the other, i didnt realise, silly me, was looking up some information for someone on the phone and actually sshh ed me and rudely whispered with a real arsey attitude hed be with me in a short while or maybe could i come back... err no... walked out after waving £3k in cash at the rude sod. Ended up getting a better deal and service elsewhere. Never judge a book by its cover... i know an incredibly wealthy guy who owns several large buildings and is worth millions but drives a drives an old Range Rover and dresses like a tramp 75% of the time. Seems like the "You can't afford THAT" attitude is rife. I've had it in Mappin & Webb (King St, Manchester).
Went in wearing overalls as I'd just been working (servicing a Bentley ) and asked about a Submariner. I was told "You *do* know it's £3000 don't you?"
I did. I went somewhere else to buy it.
