I managed to put a small chip into the sapphire crystal on my date-just the other day whilst pissed. The chip is large enough that I don't think it can be polished out. Anyone know how much this would likely be to fix/replace?

The glass is c£90-£100, but Rolex will only fit the glass if a full service is carried out on the watch at a cost of c£200-£220.
A Datejust should be serviced every 4-5 years. If the chip is too deep and hasn't compromised the water proof properties of the case and you can live with it, leave it until the next service.

And the normal service intervals won't apply...
