Watches for Left Handers.......
Discussion
Interesting thought, obviously the majority of watches have the crown on the right hand side, and the majority of people seem to wear them on their left wrist.
Suppose when they first appeared, it was easier to wind it with the crown on your left facing to the fingers.............
Any ideas?

I wear mine on my right too... i prefer the crown on the right side- means basically zero chance of bashing it against something and risking it coming off.
One of the original heuer carrera autos (might have been calibre 12? ) had a leftie crown, and I *think* one of the original monacos did if thats any use.

Breitling Chronomatics have the crown on the left hand side of the face.
Yes but Breitling are shite way too bling, unless you are a pimp or footballer To the OP any number of makers produce left handed watches, certainly including: Girard Perregaux; Oris; Anonimo; Chronoswiss; Graham; Hamilton; Citizen. Or for a radical suggestion you could get a JLC Reverso with the back face uppermost (see I always get a JLC recommendation in ).
As for why I do most people wear their watches on the left, I suspect its no more than the fact that the majority of people are right-handed, and are more dextrous with their right hand so its easier to do it up onto your left wrist. Also the whole bl**dy world is organised for right handers so why not this as well ... ?
