As the thread title suggests, what do people reccomend as decent reads for watch books?
I would like to get a general overview of the wacth world and history, and maybe a few books about the more well known brands, I also have an interest in Grand complications so any decent reads out there for these? I'm interested to here what you guys would suggest.

Going onto some of the top brand websites and filling out deatils for their catalogues, They are so much more than just model and price, some of the books are little works or art ! IWC in particular and Panerai are both great catalogues.

Exigeowner cheers for that, I have a few old catalogues from Tag, Rolex and Omega and they're pretty cool, I just find them a bit lacking in basic detail, plenty of fantastic images though. I guess I'm not getting the right catalogues.

This should cover just about everything you could wish to know...

Try a couple of decent watch forums (apart from PH of course)

www.timezone.com

Have fun!

A good "general" book is "Wristwathces/ Armbanden/ Montres-bracelets" ISBN number 99783833125591. Do a search on abebooks.co.uk. couple for sale in UK for £25 and £40. suppose condition is the difference in price. I bought it years ago and cover every brand, lots of info and pictures. sTeVeR

I got this for Xmas - a good read. It has opened my eyes to brands and watches I had no idea about.
