I have a sea-dweller also and have wondered whether to get it serviced regularly or wait until it goes wrong - what are peoples experiences with this watch?

I've had a few, in my experience I've found them very, very capable tough watches. With regard to service intervals,Rolex reccommend a service every 5 years. Get the watch back to Rolex UK in Bexley, and you'll be amazed at the quality of the service. Sure it'll cost you c£250, but over 5 years that's about a pound a week....

I just picked up my SS sub from being serviced, it was about 10 yeard old and been throught the war's a bit , that cost me £400 bar a few pence , that was with a new bezel and glass .

That said, i have just bought another one and when i put the two down side by side you could not tell which one was the new one and which one was the old one, people had told me they come back like new, but to be honest i did not believe them but they actualy do.
