Does anybody own the red or orange face Tag, seems about the cheapest Tag watch there is at £ 650.00

Any comments on it ?

I have just added up my Tesco clubcard points and have £ 150 which gives £ 600.00 off at Goldsmiths, so a Tag watch for £ 50.00 cant be bad hey !

I could use it on a more expensive watch but then it may be better to go to an independant and get a big discount off a more expensive one, so I would think getting an entry level one for virtually nothing is the way to go.

2nd hand you can pick them up for £300 or less.... Not the best!

Where in the country are you? I'm sure someone on here got a 2nd hand watch from a Goldsmiths branch in London somewhere... might extend your choice a bit more if you include stuff that has already depreciated a bit? Also, have you looked at the Oris watches - some of those are also nearer your budget?

Edited so it makes sense!

I believe new TAG Heuer watches start at around the £450 mark.

Could you pls explain the Tesco / Goldsmiths deal with points ?

You know the Clubcard points you get from Tesco? Well instead of spending them instore you can exchange them for 4x their face value for a deals token - one of the places you can get a deals token for is goldsmiths... I think that pretty much the only limit is that you must spend over £200...
...I guess the OP has £150 worth of clubcard tokens.

Tag Heuer also have outlet shops where you can get pretty big discounts. I got about 50% off high street price on mine.

Indeed. The one in Bicester is doing 50% off on a lot at the moment, but only the lower end stuff.

Does this mean that the watches are, er, "seconds"? Do they keep time + or - one hour per day? Seriously, seems to devalue the marque to me, but if this catches on I hope IWC, Audemars Piguet, Rolex and others open up similar shops too!
