Sundays Antiques Roadshow was about modern collectibles, there was a clip on the short life span of the LED watch era of the early - mid '70's

Other than the analogues, I also collect some of the high end LED watches and many where shown in AR - I don't know if anybody else is into led watches on here (have done a search with no results found!) if you are then check out the clip below, if not, check it out anyway smile

AR clip can be seen here (scroll down)

I got into them a few years back mainly due to me being there in the 70's - gulp!!

shame the 'expert' new nothing about them, I have since heard that the led watch expert was flooded in and could not get to filming that day.

Happy new year

Yes here are a few - high end Pulsars

Sorry for the heavy copywrite on some - they have been taken and used elsewhere frown

18K sold gold Pulsar P1 (Holy Grail to LED watch collectors)

Pulsar Calculator watch

Then there's the home grown stuff - this are not the most reliable, lucky if you get one working, and that's when they where new!!!

I've got a watch from Tokyoflash which is a bit different.

That reminds me though I must get a new battery for it!

I have two gold Bulova side view drivers watches, a 1976 1 button & a 1977 2 button, both new old stock in original boxes, with booklets etc.

My first boss had one, which is why I wanted one. I tried selling one on eBay but it seems we have limited interest here in UK. My contacts in USA suggest that $1k is possible over there.

Very nice, Noticed the auction has ended. One thing i noticed in your title, you stated 'LCD' rather than 'LED' also Drivers has a typo, I know of a few collectors that will want these in the UK, it might be a simple as not showing up on their eBay radars! You are correct regarding the US, they will bring in a good price especially with boxes, tags & instructions.

Also looked at the bids, they came well short of what I would have let it go for, good to see your reserve stopped it going for peanuts.
