Beautiful. Is it really unrestored? That's great condition for a watch of that age.
It's interesting that loads of other watches with the same valjoux 72 based movement are worth a fraction of that these days.
I wonder how the current ones will be valued in thirty years or so.

To me it's a shame Rolex didn't keep that classic design with perhaps slight changes as they have with the Sub and Sea Dweller or GMT (until this year).
It's really very simillar to other 70's chronograph designs still in production like Speedmaster professionals and some Heuer Carreras. With the simple face, baton markers and classic simple bracelet. That watch could easily be in production today and still look great.
Although Rolex fans would now expect a Rolex movement.
I think it rather shows up the new model.
