funny i had exactly the opposite reaction...I don't really like Breitlings though, they look very "bling" to me.

yes thats the one.i really like it.for me its almost bling if you like.not quite the jacobs in your face but then not quite the classic say iwc look.
its actually a very old design and has changed very little from the 60,s iirc.
i like this particular one because its actually brushed steel which means its not quite as lairy as the polished ones(which i do like too)
just to add that pic above as i,m sure you know is a fake.the strap is polished and the date font is wrong(probably other bits too but just a quick look) they are also a chinese seller,i think they may have something to do with 'watch 688'
heres mine

That's the best thing about watches! I love the all black navitimers, and have my greedy eyes on a Navi cosmonaut (24 hour face), but this is the first all-white face I've seen, and was surprised to find I liked it!!

I have always lusted after one but thought they were too bling. The tread has switched me back on to them.

Do high street shops now carry second hand selections?

I think the problem is there isn't enough on the dial - needs a few more numbers or something ... wink

yes more numbers, chronos and general bling are needed lol.
horses for courses though.i love them but can understand why some dont.many people love the understated look of a classic iwc while personally i think they are very bland.
also i expect a lot is down to age.i,m only 27 so i predict the people who dont like this watch maybe a little older.i do agree it is a bit bling but nowehere near bling enough for me to feel like an idiot with one on.
take jacobs watchs.personally i find them hideous, yet they are the favourite watch for the bling celebs out there

Definitely a marmite watch, but it is still a design classic. The dial is way too fussy for my taste, but I wouldn't call it bling.

if a navitimer is "too bling" what does a gold rolex qualiify as or indeed watches that have diamonds on their faces such as numerous rolex's,omegea's etc because imo i dont think the navitimer is "bling" at all.

Not sure a navitimer could be classed as bling really....

I have one with black face and white chrono dials also a moonphase display (Navitimer Olympus) really like it and suits me as I am a big chap so does not look massive on my wrists. The business of the dial is part of the appeal to me and I use the slide rule quite often.
