Hi all

I'm looking for a daily wearer - tough and cheap, but attractive enough to wear at work. I've found this which has had some pretty good reviews. Anybody have one, or any experience?

swiss movement - sapphire crystal, waterproof 300m - good spec for the price.

I quite like that myself (especially the green one) - although its really a Rolex copy/homage

I have a black bezel one which I paid less than £200 for new and its a lot of watch for the money. The quality is superb and feels weighty. It probably gets more wrist time than my Speedy Pro.

Why not just buy an Alpha at a tenth the price?

Fine watches and I use mine as a daily beater...tough, reliable and surprisingly well made. Equal to watches of 3 or 4 times the value

Sure it may look like a Rolex; it does, but it's larger which suits me.

Mine is a Steinhart Ocean 1 GMT - made by Grovana though and essentialy the same as the one in your link. I'd recommend them whole heartedly.

thanks for the replies guys.

tertius - some decent looking watches on your link for next to nothing - can the quality really be acceptable for that price? Interested in your experience if you have bought from them.

Jac - where did you buy the Steinhart?

Bought it used - came from a seller on www.tz-uk.com ...small watch loving community with a healthy sales corner. Good stuff from genuine guys at v.fair prices.

I haven't bought one myself. I don't really care for the look.

However, I've read plenty of posts on www.thewatchforum.co.uk from people who have, and the reported quality certainly seems well in excess of the price. Just do a search on Alpha in the general forum.
