Hi all, just wondered if anyone has any experience of these watches. I'm looking at the TW43 (in the grandeur section) as I like big, chunky watches that aren't overly styled. Any other suggestions appreciated too!

No experience but as I also like a bigger watch I have considered for a millisecond when looking to buy something at the cheaper end. However, I just can't get 'chav boy's Panny' out of my head when I see the TW Steels. Expensive too.

If I read it right & the one you suggested was over 300 sheets then I think I'd stretch my budget and go for something like this (probably available for less as used from one of the various sites). Not the latest version but nice & simple and basically just as big:

A Hamilton Khaki might be an alternative as well.

Lower than £300 and it's probably Seiko Monster all the way, or a Panerai homage/shameful copy (however you see them).

Plenty of choice and I'm sure others can come up with plenty of options!

I've not heard of them before, but they look pretty cool, and seem reasonably priced too! Uh-Oh!!! biggrin

I like the look of the one you've chosen, but 48mm is VERY big, and that's coming from me! I'm 6'6" and like big watches!! Make sure you try it on 1st! The TW42 is the same, but 'only' 45mm! I've got 2 large watches, one 45.5mm, and one 44mm, and wouldn't want to go any bigger than that!! These TW's look very 'deep' as well.

It seems you can get one of their Grandeur Divers for less though, and these have an automatic movement Vs the quartz movement in the one you're looking at. Something like the TW73 which looks similar, yet is only £365.... Not sure what the catch is here?

I personally wouldn't spend £390 on a quartz watch, but then I'm a sucker for the tick-tock of a mechanical movementbiggrin If you aren't bothered about that and like the looks, then go for it, it does look very sweet!

The website is very vague when it comes to the movements, so I'd do a bit more research before I bought one, but they do look nice on face value.

Got my eye on the TW21 now, you bugger!!wink

My name is Andy, and I am a watch-a-holic!

Sorry about that!! I'm not into them in a massive way- it's all about aesthetics for me to be honest. I will try it first- 48mm doesn't sound that big, from what you say, it could be like wearing one of those wrist racer toys where a car comes out of it!!

Well, I saw these in the flesh for the 1st time today, and they are MASSIVE! Truly, comically, HUGE!!

So beware if you do buy one online, make sure you try one on 1st!! I had my eye on one as I said earlier, but having seen it, it's too big even for me! I didn't even bother trying it on....

Ah well, there's plenty of others on, 'the list'! biggrin

Had a try on of one of the TW STEEL's last week in the Arndale in Manchester. The shop was asking over £400 for most of the watches on display, yet on the web they are £200 - £300 in price. Look nice in the flesh, but were a little large.
