I am looking to buy a secondhand watch and have been looking at various websites around the world.I am aware that if I buy a watch from ouside the EU(ie USA),then I will be charged VAT,but does anyone know if I would have to pay any import taxes or VAT if I buy from within the EU??

Pretty sure if you buy within the EU (ie local taxes paid) there is no tax to pay bringing it into the UK.

Correct, no VAT or duty when importing from inside the EU. Prices will already include local VAT in the country you buy from.
