Looking to treat myself to a new watch, it'll be for everyday use, and i'm fairly heavy on watches, so needs to take a few knocks.
Ideally something fairly big, and smart looking but understated at the same time.
currently i've a Seiko divers watch but its on its last legs.
I'd have no worries if i had £10k to spend but i've only got around a £1000 to spend, so what can you reccomend i look at? I don't mind buying used.

Personally with that price I'd buy two - one to 'kill', the other for nice occasions that can still take a knock?

Yeah, I bought all my watches from them.

Ask for Tim or Dee. You can go in person and pick it up.

This an a cool-looking G-Shock would still leave you with £100 in your pocket. Mines a pint - V996, what are you drinking?

The 2 watch idea probably makes sense. I really like the look of the Omega
Seamaster Railmaster Chronometer there knocking out for £995

You'd bag it for 900 notes.

I fancy a change from the Seiko divers. I'm going to do the 2 watch route, and think i've found my everyday watch in this:

so its just something for when a smarter watch is required i'm after

Dude. Go the Omega Speedmaster or basic Rolex route. You can always sell it for what you paid.

I can vouch for the Speedmaster Reduced like the one above, had one for a while, kept good time and being automatic was much more practical for me than the manual wind of the full size Speedmaster. I sold it for very close to what I paid for it.

I went in to a shop today and tried on a Speedmaster, but wasn't 100% sold on it, i also looked at an Oris Williams F1 but again not 100% sold on it.
The shop said something in the Tag Heuer range would be a good option, but as i was short of time i didnt get to have a good look at them.
