Well I thought i'd ask for some advice, I have had my current Seiko SQ100 for about 11 years now, its a lovely watch but is starting to show signs of wear..

With a bonus coming January i'm looking for something a bit more special, and the Breitling Bentley GT (Sunset coloured face)has caught my eye, I have a discount card offering 15% off from my local Breitling dealer (I was given it just for looking in the window !) and was wondering if thats a decent discount for a large value item ?.

I think the Bentley GT retails at around £4,200.. so the discount card would see me paying around £3,570.

I guess I could be opening a can of worms here but any thoughts ?, good or bad ?.. any GT owners in here ?, what do they think etc etc

Personally I love them, but how large are you, and how big are your wrists? You don't want to look like a kid who has nicked his dads watch, or a rapper..... wink

No, that's the 47mm 6.75 model. It's also 3 years old....

That is one of my concerns, I guess I need to go and try one one... my Seiko has a 30mm glass, and I know the Bentley GT shows dimensions of 44.8mm diameter (I assume that is the glass ?)

I think this weekends plan is to go and try a GT on... no point in hankering after one if they are too big...

its a nice watch, they are a bit big, if you have your heart set on one thats cool, but i reckon you would be wise to see what else is around from other brands for the money you are looking to spend, there is more to choose from.

but you should get offered a healthy discount on a breitling in most places, shop around to get a good deal,

breitling are nice, but not everyone shares that opinion,

Good Luck,

smile
