I will be flying through terminal four early next year. Does anyone on here have any experience with the watch show within the departures area. Is there much of a saving compared to usual UK prices.. was looking for an IWC.

Just normal duty free prices - if you are flying outside the EU.

Unlikely to budge on price - they have quite a good trade (had a chat with a guy in there once).

A month or two ago I spent a lot of time chatting to Raymond, one of the team there, he was extremely helpful and I have been 'swapping mails' with him for some time now.
The pricing is as said above basically RRP less VAT, but they carry an excellent stock. If you want to make contact PM me and I will forward your mail to Rayymond, hopefully he will then contact you directly.

regards

I think Mappin & Webb have concessions at Heathrow T3 and T4, which IWC are you after?

Well I bought a really nice IWC watch in dubai recently ....... cost me only around 4,000

US cents biggrin and looks great

errr maybe its not made in Switzerland then ?

Seriously though if I wanted a genuine high-end watch I'd think of shopping in the Middle East - ( at a genuine dealer )

I bought my Explorer II from the Mappin and Webb in Terminal 4. It was the full 17.5% off, which was well worth it, as it is a main UK dealer, so has all the normal backup and guarantee etc.

Worth calling and paying ahead of time, to guarantee the stock.

I got my IWC in Singapore duty free and got about 40% off compared to UK high street - would have been enough to pay for a flight out there probably - so well worth a trip!
