advice on watch purchase
Discussion
As a 40th present to myself and a longer term gift for my newly arriving child, I am looking at getting one of these watches:
http://www.heuerboy.com/geneva.htm - £795
http://www.heuerboy.com/car15.htm - £950
http://www.heuerboy.com/carman.htm - £850
http://www.heuerboy.com/cartac.htm - £850
The other option is to buy a new carrera/monaco from the States for about a grand.
I would like to use the watch as an everyday watch. Also am not sure whether the prices on heuerboy are negiotable or not.
thanks for any advice

Personal taste, good Sir. But the more expensive will tend to be for a damn good reason, and the less expensive may well increase in price at some point...
I agree with Don, buy the one you like best.My personal favourite of the vintage Heuers is an early Carrera, though probably a bit more expensive than those you have listed:

But, yes, the '60s Carrera is a beauty. Keep your eyes open for one. Considerably cooler than those '70s ones you're looking at...
