I was about to put my 2006 Omega Seamaster automatic on eBay but at the last minute got cold feet, mainly as a result of reading about fraudsters and attempted chargebacks.

I have all the boxes, papers and original receipt from Feb 2006 but can anyone recommend a better way of selling it?

Trade it in against something else? Sell it on here?

I'm not planning on buying a new watch as have a couple already but thanks. Yep I will put an ad on here too - is there a recognised way that people accept payment that way?

The two that I bought off here, I paid cash into an account with one, and met up for the other.

My PO went on Ebay - I sold it to a guy with 900 feedback who bought/sold watches to fund his collection. He paid more than I did, which was a result. I was very nervous though - but took the money out of PP before I sent it (and delayed it a couple of days more so any problems - stolen account etc - came to light).

I sold my Sea-Dweller to a dealer (offline) as I thought a Rolex on ebay would attract scammers like moths to a bright light.

Hi,

Are you still thinking of selling this? I am interested in buying one of these.

Cheers,
