Ladies Xmas Gift

Hi all,

My first post here so a bit of a newbie.

I'd like to purchase a watch for my wife for xmas. She hasn't had a "proper" watch before and we've been out looking at a few.

She's keen on a watch to wear every day so it should be hardwearing and not too dressy. She quicte a tall lady so can carry off bigger pieces of jewelery. At the moment it looks like she is moving towards a large tank style. Shortlist at present is:

JLC Grand Taille, Stainless with Black Croc Strap
Cartier Tank Solo, Silver with black strap

I'd apreciate comments on the two above and any suggestions of similar watches we might consider.

Budget is about 2K
