Is this a good watch??
Discussion
Hi all,
Looking for a nice watch to buy for my dad's 60th in December.
He always wears a watch, but is not an expert by any means, he likes a nice looking watch but wouldn't want to spend thousands on one.
I've budgeted around £500 and have found this one that I really like, it's a "Longines LungoMare men's stainless steel chronograph watch"
Is this a good watch for the price, I will do some more hunting around to see if the price is competetive if you guys recommend it.... I really know nothing about a good watch!!

That's quite a bit for a quartz movement in my opinion (other will disagree ;-) but I like the styling. Are you looking for a similar design for your father?
I really liked the design and i think it will suit my dad, thanks for the info on the quartz i'll read up on it.Is the make any good??
thanks.

a general rule is that an online dealer or trusted Ebay shop (i.e. 1000s of watches, 99% feedback) will give you a heck of a discount over someone like Ernst Jones.
thanks for the tip, my plan is to find a watch that i think he'll like, and you experts recommend, then i'll shop around for the best price. Thanks,
Paul.
