I've just bought one having gone out to buy an Omega 45mm Planet Ocean. Realy like the crispness of the watch. I normally find Breiting faces a little too busy for me. Wanted a big watch too so it fullfilled that brief. I like robust so went for the rubber strap with black face & bezel. Can't find a picture to link to at the moment.

Anyone clever enough to link to one?

I really like them. I think it's a tough choice between the Planet Ocean and the Breitling super ocean Heritage. Both big diving watches. I think the Breitling is a bit unique and to me, much more interesting than most of their recent creations.

I've not seen the bracelet in the flesh. What did you make of it?

Does the rubber strap say 'breitling' on the outside like some of the other diving straps or is it plain with the retro large holes in it?

It was the crispness of design with the Breitling that swung it. As I said I went out to buy an Omega, saw this and changed my mind.

The strap is has no writing, just the holes with a fairly large metal clasp. That feels really robust and also has an easy adjustment mech that give about 4mm of movement if you suffer from wrists that swell (mine do!)

They never had the metal one in stock but the metal braclet, which looking at the catalogue is kind of braided would not be for me. Maybe a link type like the Omega but not the braided one!

The Omega still has a place in my heart so who knows, maybe in a couple of years I may add one?

Cheers

very nice.

Isnt it a homage to the Blancpain fifty fathoms though?
