Anyone got an 18ct Gold Sub? I am about to pull the trigger on a pre-owned 10/10 condition 16618 and wondered if anybody had one or was looking to sell?

What's the deal on the 16618? Late model, box and papers, recent service? How much?

Hi Dominic,

Well it's from a dealer, who rang to say he can get me one next week as he is off buying stock. Don't know the year or box/paper situation until then and price will be £6,500 to £7,500 depending on the above.
Does that sound about right ? and is there anything else I should be asking?

Buy all my watches from them. Chiswick based. Ask for Dee or Tim.

Ok thanks will use that example for comparison, could I get a deal on that price what are they like for discounts if any?
Is it reasonable to expect a warranty on pre owned if so for how long?
How useable is the gold as a daily or is it just Sunday best, is it prone to scratching

You'd get money off. Go and see them in Chiswick if you can (I recognise your plate from somewhere if that's it!) and for cash they'll haggle.

They give 12 month warranty. In house watchmaker is a genius.

There was never a better example of the fine line between genius and insanity, than Tony (resident horological savant)....

Hi Dominic,

I see you are in the trade, in your opinion is that a good deal or could it be sweeter?

The watch looks fine, it will have been prepared properly and well bought in the first place. It's about the right money, though you should try your luck with a bid....
These watches do not come up that often, so tend to get high prices when used....
