Some nice looking watches here:-

One Rolex is estimated at up to £75,000! C'mon, which one would you choose out of this lot?

Loving the Richard Mille.

Question (possibly for you Rich) - if there are so may Patek's, why are the prices so high? They seem to make up most of the catalogue, and I know they are quality, but surely the shere number would drive the price down?

Proportionately, there are a lot of Pateks in the auction but relative to actual numbers produced there aren't - Rolex produces between 600 000-800 000 watches per year (depending on where you read), Patek produces about 18 000. So very few of each particular Patek line appear at auction and hence the high prices - there are a couple of Perpetual Calendars on there that are supposed to start from $250k!!!

a bit off topic but whats the cheapest perpetual calendar watch available (not chinese and not digital).

doesn't have to be a perfect one, the odd adjustment here and there would be acceptable.

you can buy Seiko perpetual calendar watches for between 50 and 100 quid at various online sites. They are not Perpetual Calendars as you might get with haute horologie makers (moondials etc.), rather a date window that is nver wrong.
