Anyone got one?

I've been looking at stuff on Chronomaster for ages and had never looked at these as for some reason I'd dismissed them as cheap and nasty.

I'm seriously taken by the MP 2801 - cheap as chips and remarkably functional/uncluttered etc.

Thoughts/opinions?

Yup, I have a black faced Big TIme, this one, which I bought from Chronomaster:

Its great, simple, reliable and quite striking, and an absolute bargain.

I rate them.

yes, I would agree with the honourable Lord Tertius of Watchdom's assessment. I have a white faced big time - "Its great, simple, reliable and quite striking, and an absolute bargain."

I stuck on a nice strap and a deployment clasp and it holds it own with £3k watches (IMHO).

presume you have looked here

and

http://www.rltwatches.co.uk/acatalog/Ollech_Wajs.h...

By all accounts they are incredibly good value for money and made to a very high quality.

It won't be long before I cave in and get an M4 diver.

Yep they're out of stock at RLT though Chronomaster also sell them.

Does anyone know if the crystal on the 2801 is flat or slightly domed? I can't tell from the pictures.

That's a lovely simple watch! What's the exact model name, as I can't find anything similar in O&W searches. Maybe it's an old one from the pre-Ollech days?

Its just called a "Big Time" I believe. It is actually after the Ollech association - the original O&W closed in the '80s like many Swiss watch makers and was re-started by A Wajs in the '90s under the name AI Wajs. See here for a history.

I have only ever seen this one for sale, but I believe Irish found a supplier in the US, which he may be willing to share.

www.westcoasttime.com may have one or two.
